	Fees are paid on the honor system. If you use the range, put $1 (members) or $2 (non-members with a member present) in the slot on the steel door on the walk-in safe. There is a log-book on a wall desk next to the safe. Write in the date, your name, and the amount you put in the slot. The range fees help pay directly for electricity, heat, consumables, removal of lead from the traps, repairs to the range, and targets. People who do not pay the small range fee are working against the continued existence of the club. If you use the range, then it must be something you want to have available in the future. The only way it can be there tomorrow is if the people who want to use it are willing to help pay what it costs. Some members have said, "But I already paid my dues! Why do I need to pay a range fee?" Membership dues help pay the fixed costs, such as insurance, taxes and general repairs. But range fees help cover the variable costs that go up when you use targets, run water, use lights and power, add to the wear and tear on the target area, and put more lead into the traps that has to be cleaned out. The Medford Rifle and Pistol Club has one of the lowest membership fees for a covered, indoor range in the nation. Try to join any other similar facility in another city the size of Medford or larger, and you'll appreciate the very low cost (less than $1 per week). (Return to top of page)
