DIRECTIONS TO THE RANGE: From exit 30 on I-5 proceed North on Hwy 62 (Crater Lake Highway) approximately 5 miles to Hwy 140. Right on 140 2.25 mile to Kershaw Road. Right on Kershaw Road approximately 1/4 mile to the entrance of the sports park on the left.

FEES: Across the board for both individual matches 1 and 2: $50.00 which includes payment for target operators. $30.00 for Saturday only.

RULES: Draft rules for U.S. Fullbore Rifle Competition. Generally the same as Highpower Rules for prone shooting except that all sighters are convertible. Other differences will be explained. All firing will be squadded string fire, infiltration squadding.

TARGETS: MR63 for 300 yards, MR65 for 500 yards, MR for 600 yards, LR for long range.

CATEGORIES: A-Category: Rifles chambered for the unmodified .308 Winchester cartridge or the .223 Winchester cartridge and weighing not more than 14lbs, 5ozs. Any safe trigger. Metallic sights. Bullet weight not greater than 156 grains for the 308 or 80 grains for the .223.

 

F-Category: Any rifle of a caliber not greater than .35 and weighing not more than 22 lbs. Any sights. May be fired from a front rest, a rear rest, or both. The Rifle Butt must contact the shoulder.

Sporting Rifle: Same as F-class but weighing less than 10 lbs.

CLASSES: For this event, any A-Category shooter holding an NRA classification for Highpower, Long range, or Smallbore rifle of High Master or Master compete in the Master Class. All others compete in the Expert Class. No classes for F Category.

AWARDS: As generous as possible. Each category and class competes for its own awards. Special awards for Junior, Woman, Senior (60 and over), Super Senior (70 and over). There will be awards for competitors who elect not to fire the long range stages providing 5 or more so elect in any one class. These competitors will fire an additional 2 sighters and 10 record shots at 600 yards in lieu of long range.

PRACTICE: Beginning at 10:00 on FRIDAY OCTOBER 20, squadded practice will be conducted at each range. $10.00 per shooter to cover range fees, targets and target operators.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Firing will commence at 09:00 on Saturday. The long range stages (match 2) on Sunday Oct 22 will begin at approximately 2:00 P.M. following the military rifle match. See a separate program for the Military Rifle Match. A lunch break may be taken after firing the first two or three ranges depending on time. (The target operators need a break)

SATURDAY OCTOBER 21: INDIVIDUAL MATCH 1: 2 Convertible sighters and 10 shots for record at 300, 500, 600 and an additional 600 yard stage (2 sighters and 10 for record)

SUNDAY OCTOBER 22: INDIVIDUAL MATCH 2: 5 Convertible sighters and 15 shots for record at 900, and 1000 yards. (This match is not recommended for sporting rifles)
